Pear Tree Education is excited to announce the launch of its first private K-7 elementary school located in the heart of Kitsilano on West Broadway and Stephens St. The official opening date of Pear Tree Elementary is September 2016.
Pear Tree Elementary offers a progressive education for Vancouver children, including maximum class sizes of 15 students, masters-qualified teachers, theme and project-based learning, and a mandatory healthy hot lunch program. This makes Pear Tree a refreshing alternative from Vancouver’s traditional, ‘heritage’ schools.
“There is tremendous demand for private schooling in Vancouver,” says Paul Romani, Pear Tree’s founder. “Families living in Downtown Vancouver, specifically Yaletown, suffer from a lack of schools. Vancouver, as a whole, lacks high-quality alternatives to the heritage schools.”
Pear Tree Elementary takes a whole child education approach that nurtures academic, social-emotional, and physical development. It also seamlessly integrates technology into its classes, including iPads, Microsoft Surface Pros, and interactive SMARTboards.
In preparation for its launch, Pear Tree is hosting a series of open houses from January to April. Attendance is by appointment only. For more information visit the Pear Tree Elementary website www. www.peartree.school, or contact firstname.lastname@example.org / tel 604 355 2155.
Pear Tree Elementary is part of Pear Tree Education, a Vancouver-based education firm founded in 2011 by Alexis Birner M.Ed and Paul Romani. As of 2015, Pear Tree offers a diverse range of educational services, including: group enrichment classes, ESL for kids, tutoring, and spring and summer camps.
