Fall Fun

Fall in love with fall at our “Fall Fun” camp for 5-6 year olds!

Our young campers will enjoy hands-on Halloween activities, including making delicious mini pumpkin pie tarts. They will have a chance to play with pumpkin pie-scented playdough (which they can take home), and create beautiful fall art.

They’ll also learn about the changes that occur in nature during autumn. With stories and songs, “Fall Fun” promises a memorable day to learn about the season.

Junior Scientists

Is your child curious, and do they love to do hands-on experiments? Join us for our Junior Scientist Camp, designed for 5-6 year olds!

Sign up for a hands-on adventure where campers will explore the properties of matter through engaging activities and experiments. They’ll make their own slime, learn about water tension, and use their senses with our Mystery Bags.

Our interactive experiments and explorations will spark curiosity and nurture scientific thinking.

Heartfelt Fun

Join us for “Heartfelt Fun,” a delightful Valentine’s Day camp specially designed for 5-6 year old students! This exciting day will be filled with a variety of fun Valentine’s Day-themed activities.

Children will have the opportunity to craft beautiful and personalized Valentine’s Day cards, perfect for sharing with friends and family. They will also get to mold and shape heart-themed creations using Valentine’s playdough. Additionally, our young campers will have a blast decorating delicious Valentine’s Day cupcakes, adding sweet touches to their festive treats.

To make the day even more special, students are encouraged to come dressed in red, pink, or white clothing.

Urban Gardeners

Join us this spring for the “Urban Gardeners” camp, an engaging and outdoor adventure designed for 5-6-year-olds! This camp offers a unique opportunity for young children to connect with nature and experience the joys of gardening in an urban environment.

Our budding gardeners will embark on an exciting journey exploring a local community garden. They will learn about plant growth, care, and the identification of common weeds. Campers will enjoy hands-on activities such as planting seeds, which they can nurture and watch grow at home.

Please note that this camp will be held outdoors, rain or shine, so ensure your child is dressed in weather-appropriate clothing.

STEM (Halloween)

Join us for an exhilarating Halloween-themed STEM adventure designed to spark curiosity and inspire a passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Our young engineers will delve into creative projects, starting with designing and constructing Halloween-inspired copper tape art. Next, they’ll tackle the Candy Catapult Challenge, putting their problem-solving skills to the test by collaborating with peers to build functional catapults using a variety of materials. Additionally, they’ll gain a hands-on introduction to basic circuitry through engaging activities with Halloween-themed squishy circuits.

Safety is our utmost priority. Our experienced instructors will ensure that campers learn to use tools and equipment, such as X-acto knives and hot glue guns, with the highest standards of safety and responsibility.

Clay Creations

In our “Clay Creations” camp, students will dive into the captivating world of clay, mastering a range of tools and techniques to bring their imaginations to life.

They’ll learn to craft delightful plasticine animals, whimsical foods, and fantastical creatures, all while enhancing their fine motor skills and hand strength. They will engage in activities such as rolling, shaping, and carving clay, with a focus on attention to detail.

By the end of the camp, your child will proudly take home a collection of their unique clay creations, showcasing their newfound skills and creativity.

Junior Chefs – The Valentine’s Day Edition

This year’s 7-8 year old “Junior Chefs” camp is a Valentine’s Day Special Edition! Students will prepare a morning breakfast dish, a hot lunch, and a sweet afternoon snack – all Valentine’s themed. This includes heart-shaped Egg in a Frame, pizza from scratch, and Valentine’s cookies.

Students will learn to use cooking materials and equipment safely, under the guidance of experienced instructors. They will practice reading and following recipes, enhancing their culinary skills and confidence. Best of all, they get to savor and enjoy the delicious dishes they create!

NOTE: Our Hot Lunch Program is required for this course. Select this option during the registration process.

Plants and Pollinators

Our “Plants and Pollinators” camp combines the wonders of nature with hands-on science exploration! Campers will embark on an exciting field trip to a local community garden, where they will learn about the vital role of pollination in our ecosystem. Through interactive activities and an experiment, they’ll discover how bees and other pollinators help flowers grow and thrive.

“Plants and Pollinators” offers a unique opportunity for campers to connect with nature, develop an appreciation for the environment, and gain hands-on experience with scientific concepts.

Spooky Adventures

Join us for “Spooky Adventures,” an exciting Halloween-themed activity camp that promises a day full of spooky fun and creative activities.

Students will immerse themselves in the Halloween spirit with pumpkin carving, where each child will receive their own pumpkin to transform into a unique, imaginative design. Our ghostly sensory station will engage their senses with creepy textures and mysterious surprises, providing a unique and exciting hands-on experience. For a touch of Halloween humor, campers will create a “barfing pumpkin,” a fun and messy activity sure to elicit giggles and gasps.

Coding

Support your child’s passion for technology and coding at our exciting Coding Camp! Using Tynker on iPads, students will focus on block coding through hands-on activities. They’ll attempt to craft imaginative short scenarios, bringing their ideas to life with interactive projects that can be shared with families.

But that’s not all—students will also command Dash robots, navigating and creating thrilling obstacle courses to see their codes in action. Campers will practice creating algorithms, recognizing patterns, and designing their own code.

This dynamic camp nurtures problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and a true passion for technology, making it the perfect way to spend the day for budding programmers ready to express their creativity!

STEM (Valentine’s)

We have an action-packed Valentine’s STEM camp planned! Engage in hands-on activities that will ignite your child’s curiosity and foster their love for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Animation Film Studios

Our “Animation Film Studios” camp offers an exciting and creative experience. Students will use Pear Tree’s iPads and apps to create their own animated short films.

They will animate food items in fun and creative ways. For example, a pizza being made, fruits having a race, or a sandwich assembling itself. They will also have a chance to animate a short scene from nature, such as a flower blooming, a caterpillar turning into a butterfly, or animals interacting in the forest. They’ll bring these stories to life using stop-motion, experimenting with various materials like paper, candy, clay, and everyday objects.

Finally, they’ll learn to add special effects and music to their animations, making their projects even more dynamic and engaging. At the end of the day, the animations will be shared with other students to showcase their creativity and hard work!

Activity 1: Caprese Bites with Balsamic Pearls & Vinaigrette
Begin with a twist on the classic Caprese salad by creating balsamic pearls through spherification. Craft a luscious balsamic vinaigrette using molecular emulsification techniques to elevate your Caprese Bites.

Activity 2: Grilled Chicken (or Tofu) and Vegetables with Mango & Chipotle Flavour Pearls & Foam
Prepare a main course with grilled chicken or tofu, enhanced with Mango & Chipotle Flavour Pearls. Master the art of foam creation to add a unique touch to your dish.

Activity 3: Deconstructed Lemon Meringue Pie

Kids Can Cook

Join us for “Kids Can Cook: Valentine’s Day Edition,” a fun and engaging one-day camp designed especially for students who love to cook! This Valentine’s Day-themed camp will have campers whipping up delicious and festive treats while honing their culinary skills.

In just one day, our young chefs will get to make 3 delicious meals: for morning snack, fluffy, heart-shaped pancakes, decorated with fresh fruit and syrup. For lunch they’ll make vegetarian heart-shaped burritos. The afternoon snack will be a sweet Valentine’s Day dessert.

Students will be cooking fairly independently, but will have the guidance and supervision of our experienced teacher to ensure safety and success in the kitchen. They’ll learn essential cooking techniques, how to follow recipes, and the importance of kitchen safety, all while having a blast and making new friends.

This camp is perfect for young food enthusiasts eager to expand their culinary skills in a fun and festive environment—all in just one exciting day!
