• Day 1 (Marble Runs & Galaxy Bots): Build intricate marble runs and create your own Galaxy Bot using motors, batteries, and LED lights to design unique moving art.
• Day 2 (Squishy Circuits & Paper Plate Marble Runs): Mix science and creativity by making conductive dough to power LED lights and design personalized marble run mazes.
• Day 3 (Soft Circuits & Creative Inventions): Craft LED pop-up cards and copper tape creatures, then invent your own battery-powered gadgets using motors and recycled materials.
• Day 4 (Balloon-Powered Cars & Automata): Design and race balloon-powered cars and build moving mechanical sculptures (automata) using cardboard and simple machines.
• Day 5 (Scribble Machines & Catapult Challenge): Construct whimsical scribble machines that draw on their own and compete in a catapult challenge to test your engineering skills.

Skills Developed:

Animation Studios

Step into the world of Animation Studios, where creativity meets technology! This hands-on camp introduces young animators to the art of stop-motion animation, teaching them how to create their own mini-movies using clay, paper, and even real-life actors. From animating your name to producing your own short film, campers will explore the entire animation process—from storyboarding and filming to editing and adding sound effects.

Each day focuses on a different animation technique, building skills along the way:

• Day 1 (Photography Basics & Animating Your Name): Learn the essentials of photography and stop-motion, then create your first animation by bringing your name to life using everyday objects.
• Day 2 (Clay Animation & Storyboarding): Dive into the world of claymation, animate simple stories, and practice storyboarding techniques to plan out your next big project.
• Day 3 (Paper Animation & Growing Stories): Use paper cutouts to animate scenes like a flower growing from a seed, and learn how to structure your animations with detailed storyboards.
• Day 4 (Animating Real People & Final Project Planning): Get creative by animating yourself and your friends, then plan and begin your final animation project using any materials you choose.
• Day 5 (Final Project & Screening): Complete your final animation, add titles and music, and celebrate your hard work with a special screening of all the films!
