Drop Off Procedure
Drop off time is between 8.50am – 9.10am.
Please note that if you have multiple children attending in different age groups, we will email you to advise what to do.

5-6 year old camps
- Enter the building via the Stephens Street entrance (see photo + map below)
- There will be markers to indicate where families should line up. Please note that the line up will be quite long due, as there are 2 x 5-6 classes now.
- Parents must wait outside in the line up with their children.
- The classroom teacher and our school coordinator will meet you at the entrance to our facility.
- Currently, parents are asked to drop off at the door of Pear Tree’s facility. The exceptions are if you are registered for pre-camp supervision sessions, if you arrive after 9.10am, or if permission has been granted by a member of staff
- Please exit Pear Tree via the Stephens Street entrance
7
7-9 year old camps
- The classroom teachers will be holding a sign for the 7-9 age group at the Stephen’s St entrance to the building (see photo + map below)
- Parents must wait outside in the line up with their children. Please note that the line up will be quite long, as there are 2 x 7-9 classes.
- Currently, parents are asked to drop off here rather than come up to our facility entrance (to avoid congestion with the 5-6 year old families). The exceptions are if you are registered for pre-camp supervision sessions, if you arrive after 9.10am, or if permission has been granted by a member of staff

10-14 year old camps
- ON DAY 1: The classroom teacher will be holding a sign for the 10-14 age group at the West Broadway entrance to the building (see photo + map below)
- Students can either wait on their own or with a family member
- For DAY 2-5: Please ask your child to come up directly to our facility unaccompanied
- Currently, parents are asked to drop off here rather than come up to our facility entrance (to avoid congestion with the 5-6 year old families). The exceptions are if you are registered for pre-camp supervision sessions, if you arrive after 9.10am, or if permission has been granted by a member of staff
Pick Up Procedure

5-6 year old camps
- Pick up time will be from 2.50 – 3.10pm (unless registered for after-camp)
- Enter the building via the Stephens Street entrance (see photo + map below)
- There will be markers along the floor to distance parents and children during drop off. Parents should wait in the corridor in the line up (masks optional)
- The classroom teacher and our school coordinator will meet you at the entrance to our facility, and will bring your child to the front door. We will do this as quickly as possible to avoid lengthy line ups.
- Currently, parents are asked not to enter our facility to avoid congestion. The exceptions are if you are registered for after-camp supervision sessions, if you arrive after 3.10pm, or if permission has been granted by a member of staff
- Exit Pear Tree via the Stephens Street entrance.

7-9 year old camps
- Pick up time will be from 2.50 – 3.10pm (unless registered for after-camp)
- The classroom teacher will be with 7-9 age group at the Stephen’s St entrance to the building (see photo + map below).
- Parents should wait outside in the line up.
- The classroom teacher will sign your child out once you have picked your child up.
- Currently, parents are asked not to enter our facility to avoid congestion. The exceptions are if you are registered for after-camp supervision sessions, if you arrive after 3.10pm, or if permission has been granted by a member of staff

10-14 year old camps
- Pick up time will be at 3pm (unless registered for after-camp)
- Option 1: Parents can give permission for their child (aged 10+) to leave without a parent meeting them.
- Option 2: You can arrange for your child to meet you somewhere near one of the building entrances.
- Please note: We will only wait outside when picking up in the mornings. For pick up, you will need to make arrangements for your child to meet you outside, unless you have signed up for after-camp supervision.
- Currently, parents are asked not to enter our facility to avoid congestion. The exceptions are if you are registered for after-camp supervision sessions, or if permission has been granted by a member of staff
What to Bring
Because of COVID measures, students should only come to Pear Tree with:
- Indoor shoes (in addition to their outdoor shoes). Indoor shoes can be left at Pear Tree for the week.
- A water bottle (labelled with your child’s name)
- A jacket
- Packed lunch (if not part of our Healthy Hot Lunch Program) – please note our policy for packed lunches!
- EpiPen? if your child has a severe allergy, ensure that your child has an EpiPen on them at all times. Inform Pear Tree staff of this, too.
- A sun hat / sunglasses (optional for spring break)
- Sunscreen should be applied before arriving (optional for spring break)
Staff can apply our own sun spray, but cannot physically apply the lotion for your child
What Not to Bring
- Pear Tree is a nut-free zone. Do not bring any products with nuts into any of our facilities! Please be cautious with the snacks you provide your child, especially granola bars, which often contain nuts.
If we notice that your child has a product containing nuts, we will need to dispose of this for the safety of the other students.
