Each week, Pear Tree Education offers a wide variety of fun and educational Workshops, Field Trips, as well as our After-School Courses for kids (and some even for the whole family).

Vancouver isn’t a city known for its cold weather or snow, but have a snow-filled day at Pear Tree this January 21st! We are going to learn about snowflakes and crystals like Snowflake Bentley, a snow scientist, make ice cube towers, do some crystal paintings, make a snow globe and even make some fake snow to take home!

Scientists can learn a lot about animals by doing dissections, while still remaining respectful of the animal.

Earth Day Pro-DApril is Earth Day month! It’s a great time to focus on environmental issues, sustainability and being an eco citizen.
Our Pro-D day camp will help you think about being an eco-citizen more than just on Earth Day!
Join us in planting seeds in bio-degradable plant pots, learning about compost, Earth nature art, and even some activities inspired by the Lorax!

Pear Tree students who are part of the Plants and Pollinators course will learn about urban bee keeping on Saturday, June 1st on the rooftop garden of the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel.
An urban bee keeper will guide our students on a tour of the rooftop, explain the importance of bees for our community, and of course show them the hives!
