At Pear Tree Education, we believe language is more than just words—it’s a gateway to new cultures, friendships, and experiences. Since 2012, we’ve been transforming education through hands-on, theme-based learning, and our Language Camps continue this tradition with dynamic programs in ESL, French, and Mandarin.

Located in beautiful Vancouver (Kitsilano) and Burnaby (Metrotown), Pear Tree’s Language Camps blend education with adventure, helping children connect with new cultures, make new friends, and discover the joy of language learning.

Our Approach to Language Learning


At Pear Tree Education, we have a special way of teaching languages that makes learning fun and effective:

  • Learning Through Themes: Every camp has a fun, meaningful theme for the week, like Nature Explorers, My City, It’s A Small World, and so on. This helps your child learn English, French, and Mandarin by learning about exciting topics that are age and level appropriate.
  • Cultural Trips: We frequently use cultural trips to give students the opportunity not just to visit places around Vancouver, but also to practice using English, French, and Mandarin in these places.
  • Working Together: You’ll work with other students on projects and activities. This is a great way to make friends and practice a language in a friendly setting.
  • Being Creative and Using Language in Real Life: We help you use English, French and Mandarin in real situations, like acting out scenes or giving presentations. This helps you feel more confident speaking outside of class.
  • A Supportive Place to Learn: Our teachers know that making mistakes is part of learning. They will always encourage you and help you feel comfortable trying new words and sentences.

10:15-10:30am – Snack // Free Play
10:30-12pm – 2nd Activity or Cultural Trip
12-1pm – Lunch Time // Free Play
1-2pm – Park // Sports Time
2-2:10pm – Snack Time
2:10-2:50pm – 3rd Activity
2:50-3:10pm – Home Time
3-5pm – After Camp Care (optional)
